Biothera has a substantial intellectual property portfolio resulting from more than a decade of novel research. The Company has over 40 issued U.S. patents with additional filings in more than 20 foreign countries. Biothera also has filed over 15 patent applications on new discoveries. This extensive patent protection includes claims directed to the composition, methods of manufacture and methods of use of its technology for broad pharmaceutical applications and healthcare (food-grade) applications, including functional foods, and animal nutrition . These patents, which are the result of internal research and acquisition, represent a technology investment of more than $300 million by Biothera, its collaborative researchers and acquired companies.
