EAGAN, MN – April 25, 2005 – Biothera will present research
supporting the efficacy of its immune-enhancing functional food
ingredients during this week's International Food Ingredients and
Additives Conference in Japan.
The 10th annual event is Asia’s largest gathering of food ingredient
and additive manufacturers, distributors and suppliers. More than
25,000 people attended last year’s conference.
Donald Cox, Ph.D., vice president of R&D and business development in
Biothera’s Healthcare Group, will deliver a presentation entitled,
“WGP® 3-6 Beta Glucan: Growing Evidence of Successful
Role in Immune Health.”
Dr. Cox will present the impressive body of research demonstrating
how Biothera’s yeast-derived beta 1,3/1,6 glucan primes innate
immune cells to recognize and attack a wide range of foreign
challenges.
